Expo Show The Expo is an integral part of your conference experience! This is your opportunity to see the newest trends in the marketplace and network with vendors and other professionals. Whatever you need, you’ll be sure to find it at this year’s Expo. More than 200 vendors from across the US and Canada will display everything from playground structures to park maintenance equipment to master planning for parks and programs and everything in between. Expo personnel talk with your peers daily and can offer suggestions and solutions tried elsewhere to help resolve your most difficult problems. This is the largest one-stop shopping extravaganza for park and recreation professionals on the west of the Mississippi River in 2008! Fabulous Food, Food and more Food: This year’s grand opening and luncheon will be on Wednesday, March 4 from 12:00 noon – 3:00 pm. A Thursday lunch in the Expo is also included from 12:30 - 2:30 with the Expo closing at 3:00 p.m. Both events are free to fully registered delegates and exhibitors. These luncheons provide you a perfect opportunity to meet with peers and view the exhibits. Additional tickets can be purchased for $25 per event. Spectacular Silent Auction: A delegate favorite, the Silent Auction gives you the opportunity to bid on any number of fabulous items displayed at various exhibit booths throughout the hall. Some of last years auction items included: iPods, portable DVD players, dinner gift certificates, digital cameras and amusement park tickets. All of the auction’s proeceeds go to support the California Foundation for Parks & Recreation Scholarship Fund and you get to take home marvelous merchandise at amazing prices. . Cash Drawings and Grand Prize Part of the overall festivities offered in the Expo are the cash drawings and the Dream Vacation trip grand prize drawing valued at $2500. Cash drawings will take place on both Wednesday and Thursday, with the Grand Prize Trip drawing occurring Thursday prior to the exhibit hall closing at 3:00 p.m. These drawings are for registered delegates only and you must be present in the Expo Hall to win.
