The registration for the D4 Bowling Tournament is now open! This event takes place on Friday, September 13th at BelMateo Bowl.  For tickets click here!

There is something for everyone at this fun D4 social event. Whether you have a team, if you are a free agent and looking to be put on a team, OR just want to come and cheer on the bowlers- all attendees must complete registration.

Fun team names and outfits are encouraged!

Please register teams no later than Friday, August 30th! If you have any questions, need to provide team member names, or to share dietary restrictions for that date, email Danielle Giuliacci at DGiuliacci@belmont.gov

Costs:

• Early bird rate is $200 per team, group of 4 (includes bowling games, shoes, *a pitcher and food) must purchase this ticket before August 16th. Note: Individual team member names are not required at time of purchase, please list out your "team name" and we will reach out to the purchaser or you can email Danielle directly (contact information listed above).
• Regular rate, after August 16th, is $240 per team (includes all entry items listed above)
• Individual rate is $65 (free agent - you want to bowl, but don't have a team yet, entry includes all items listed for team)
• Cheerleader rate is $25 (Come and socialize & support a good cause from 2:30-5:30PM,food included OR if you are planning on just attending from 6-9PM).

*1 pitcher of beer of soft drink is included with bowling registration. No host bar is available on-site.

Early bird team rate closes on Friday, 8/16.

All other final team, individual or cheerleader / social tickets can be purchased until Friday, 8/30.

Schedule of Events:

• 2pm-2:30pm - Check In Begins at BelMateo Bowl
• 2:30pm-5:30pm - Bowling Tournament Begins
• Raffle starts at 5:45PM
• 6:00pm-9pm- Social, including pool tournament (no registration needed if in bowling tournament or with cheerleader rate). No host bar.(Those looking to bowl, separate from the bowling tournament, can do so during this time too.)

Raffle Prizes:

• List of prizes will be updated as we get closer
• Raffle tickets will be available on day-of event: $10 for 3 tickets & $20 for 8 tickets

Important Reminders:

• Please make sure your whole team is ready to start by 2:30pm that day.
• We will have prizes for best team costume / name, as well as for certain teams in the bowling tournament (ie: Champions, Contenders and Pretenders)

D4 Mentor program application closes this Friday, 5/24, please sign up as soon as possible!

• Join us for the 2024 D4 Mentoring Program as a Mentor, Mentee, or both! Gain valuable knowledge from experienced Recreation Professionals and build your network. 
  • Sign up here by THIS Friday, May 24. 
  • Do not worry if the form is not filled out completely, at this time the need-to-know details are contact information and if you would like to be a mentor / mentee or both. 

Our next D4 board meeting is:

• Wednesday, June 12^th from 11AM-1PM over Zoom
• (Keep in mind, we may not meet that entire time. All are welcome to attend board meetings. We look forward to seeing you there!)

We know the initial conversation can be scary and weird, so we are going to do the hard part for you...we will connect you and start the conversation!  D4 representatives will be following up with pairs with introductions and recommendations for next steps by Friday, May 31st.  

Pairs will be encouraged to connect with each other over the Summer and your presence will be requested at our membership meeting on Wednesday, September 18th where we will highlight the program and provide an opportunity for in-person socializing.

We are back seeking your feedback. Our last survey asked for support selecting the sport for the 2024 D4 Tournament- the winning response, BOWLING! Now we need to narrow down the location, help us decide between BelMateo Bowl in San Mateo or 4th Street Bowl in San Jose.

Hello District 4,

It’s almost CPRS Connections Conference time! You may have seen on our D4 social media pages that Region 2 (Districts 4, 5 and 6) is hosting an afternoon social on 2/29 at Koffi Central in Palm Springs (650 E Tahquitz Canyon Way) from 1:30-2:30PM. The first 100 Region 2 members to show up will receive a free iced or hot coffee and delicious fresh baked cookies. All Region 2 participants that attend will also be entered to win a prize (gift cards, portable chargers & self-care goodies) - 12 opportunities to win!

Just a quick reminder that CPRS voting closes TONIGHT, so get your vote in before 11:59pm.  All eligible CPRS Members should have received an email last week from John Doyle with your ballot login information.  YOU get to choose who you want in elected positions to represent your Section, District and State Board.  The candidates all have a statement to help you decide who to vote for and who you'd like to represent you as a CPRS Member!  If you have not already voted, I'd highly encourage you to take a few minutes to vote TODAY because every vote counts!

The California Foundation for Parks and Recreation (CFPR) welcomes golfers to register for the annual Foundation Cup to be played at @Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Player check-in begins at 6:45 a.m. with tournament shotgun start at 8 a.m.

Player registration is $230/golfer with registration open for a twosome or foursome and includes green fees, golf cart, swag, player breakfast, player lunch, and amazing fun with your fellow conference attendees.

The election deadline for your state, district or section open board positions is fast approaching!

We need ALL candidates, whether for the CPRS State Board, a District, or a Section Board, to submit their interest via one ONLINE SUBMISSION form by Thursday, November 30^th, 2023!

This meeting, beginning at 11AM will include a potluck lunch and a white elephant drinking vessel gift exchange! ALL CPRS D4 members are welcomed to join us! The Region 2 and Aquatics Section Cornhole Tournament is occurring on Tuesday, November 7^th at the Burlingame Community Center (850 Burlingame Ave). Games start at 4PM.
