Thank you for taking the time to look around our website and become more familiar with the programs and services CPRS offers to support our great profession. It is an exciting time to be involved with the parks and recreation movement in California. As interest in our society continues to grow our commitment to the success of our members remains at the forefront of our mission.
In 2017 we will continue to focus on supporting those legislators that support parks and recreation facilities and programs. This year we will follow and support two park bond measures that will help our communities with funding for new development and critical infrastructure repairs. Additionally, we will continue to support our Districts and Sections as they promote and present amazing education and networking opportunities for our professionals.
As your President, I hope to focus on developing future leaders and emphasizing the importance of supporting and learning from our young professionals while making our students feel welcome at our trainings and events. Across the State we will emphasize the vital role we play in community health and wellness, work on making sure there is equitable access for all to our programs and services and work hard to make sure that the value of nature experiences is understood and that nature opportunities are available for all our youth and families.
