Why have you chosen to run for the CPRS State Board of Directors?
As the Region 3 Rep, I will bring my adaptability, optimism, and helpfulness to the members of D7, D8 and D15. In a world where things around us are constantly changing, adaptability is vital. When we are faced with changes that require a break from routine, it's natural to feel some resistance. I want to be there to provide support and focus on finding the good in every situation. We can make handling perceived failures an opportunity to learn and grow. I am resourceful in finding a way to turn a potentially negative outcome into a positive result and want to share that resourcefulness. In addition, I thrive on being able to help others in our field. I have been the recipient of numerous professionals guiding me in a variety of ways, including introducing me to the laundry list of CPRS benefits.  I would not be the professional I am today without CPRS and I want to pay that forward. By serving at the District and Section levels, I have had the privilege of working alongside and learning from my fellow peers from around the entire state to my own backyard. I believe I can be a fountain of knowledge and share my experiences with others.

What personal attributes, skills, or knowledge would you bring to the State Board of Directors if elected?
I am a highly motivated, result-oriented individual, willing to go an extra mile to reach goals and learn along the way. I want to share my knowledge and love for this profession with my fellow D7, D8 and D15 members. Having the opportunity to be on the CPRS State Board of Directors will provide a platform to do so.

What is the greatest challenge our profession faces and how will you lead to address that challenge?
When I started out in this industry, I felt like I was on an island by myself. This changed the moment when my fellow D15 members threw me a CPRS lifeline that completely transformed my approached to being a Recreation Supervisor. After 7 years of firsthand knowledge and growth with CPRS, I want to be that CPRS lifeline for my fellow Region 3 members.
