Why have you chosen to run for the CPRS State Board of Directors?
I have chosen to run because while I realize that each CPRS Section has diverse perspectives and needs, our shared goal is to position the profession towards success moving forward. I promise to bring the same drive for representation among the sections to meet the membership’s needs, as I do for my students and across our diverse communities.

What personal attributes, skills, or knowledge would you bring to the State Board of Directors if elected?
The personal attributes, skill, and knowledge I will bring to the state board include a forward-thinking mindset, my ability to plan strategically, and a focus on the profession's foundational mission.  I take pride in identifying opportunities for achievement through outlined goals that lead to measurable outcomes and meet our diverse membership needs.

What is the greatest challenge our profession faces and how will you lead to address that challenge?
The greatest challenge for our profession is the repositioning of the services we provide as vital and essential to the wellbeing of the communities we serve. COVID-19 has highlighted numerous disparities throughout our communities; I believe the park and recreation field is uniquely positioned to address those disparities and enhance the quality of life through the human services we provide.
