The purpose of this academy is to offer a statewide two-day training for current agency executives and those desiring to be in that role in the future. The training is developed around the new and/or future Director as well as the veteran executive. Lunch is included on both dates, and a continental breakfast is included on Day 2.The Keynote address will be delivered by Hamza Al Haidari. Hamza moved to California as a refugee from Baghdad, Iraq in 2008. He has traveled throughout the world to share his story as a tool to combat fear and racism. In addition, he has dedicated his life to serving others through recreation programs, both in municipal and private recreation.
