    Hello D10 Family!

We're releasing a Brochure Printing RFP this week.  If you have any printers you recommend, can you please send their contact information my way so that we can have purchasing notify them of the opportunity?

No need to reply here, please send me an email!

    Ashley.Wysocki@surfcity-hb.org

    Thanks, everyone!

To those of you who use Advantage Colorgraphics, have your costs increased recently? We were just informed that the next printing of our bi-monthly brochure would increase by approximately $1,000 due to overall production costs.

During our recent RFP, we saw higher proposals across the board. There is a nationwide paper shortage, and printers are trying to hedge against having to pay more for paper, or for having to store more paper in inventory when they can get their hands on it. Also, printers are having the same staffing issues we are all having, with difficulty retaining production staff.

That said, if you have a current contract with a not-to-exceed, hopefully you can push back on mid-term price increases on printing.

If it's helpful, attached is a list of questions we used for interviewing the final print candidates. These reflect issues we've had with printers in the past, including the shrinking printing industry resulting in firms going out of business and/or being bought out.
