Bowling for Parks - Program Flyer

In September thru November 2021, CPRS D1 members will be registering for the "Bowling for Parks" program to pledge and solicit donations to support the training, development, and scholarship efforts for our membership in the nine (9) Northern California counties we serve. As a CPRS member, we need your support!

The primary way you can support is by registering online for Bowling for Parks as a “Bowler” (registration is now open and it is free to participate). By registering, your role will be to actively pledge for donations (per pin -or- flat donations), bowl 3-games, and submit your bowling scores to us. We will do the rest!

CPRS District 1 will host a dedicated night of bowling called “Strike Night” on Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 5:30-9:00 p.m. at the Epicenter in Santa Rosa. There you can play your 3-games of bowling with other parks and recreation professionals in District 1. In addition to bowling, Strike Night will also include buffet/food, raffle, silent auction, social hour, pool tables, ax throwing, awards, and other fun activities & prizes. CPRS members who register in advance and actively pledge for sponsors will not need to pay anything to attend Strike Night. It will be free to attend! Registrations for guests of CPRS (those not actively registered to pledge) will open on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, if space is available. Bowlers who cannot attend Strike Night can still participate in Bowling for Parks by submitting their official 3-game bowling scores by November 30, 2021.

CPRS members and friends can also support by:

(1) Sponsoring: Complete the Donor Registration form and indicate a CPRS District 1 member you would like to sponsor either through a per pin pledge (pay later) or a flat donation (pay now).

(2) Challenging: Complete the Donor Registration form and “challenge” a CPRS member (Contender) to participate in Bowling for Parks. Each challenge costs $25.00, and you will win the prestigious Bowling for Parks medal if your “contender” does not register or submit their 3-game bowling scores to us by November 30, 2021. If they accept and meet your challenge, they will win the Bowling for Parks medal.

(3) Outreach: Spread the word to possible sponsors! We are looking for sponsorship commitments to help cover the administrative and Strike Night event costs, so our hard-earned pledges directly support District 1. If you know of any sponsors that might support our efforts financially or through a silent auction prize donation, kindly reach out to us.

(4) Donating: Contribute a small Giveaway or Raffle Prize (roughly $5-$50 in value) such as a gift card, souvenir, or other fun prize -OR- Silent Auction Prize (roughly $50+ in value). We would happily accept!

We appreciate your consideration in participating with us in Bowling for Parks as we aim to support Parks & Recreation professionals/students in bettering the communities where we all live, work, and play. Please keep your eyes on the CPRS District 1 Facebook page to follow the progress of the program.
