YTRS - Summer Leader Institute!

We are excited to host this year’s Summer Leader Institute at Pleasant Hill Rec & Park’s Senior Center on Saturday, May 18, from 9:00am-2:00pm! Please read below for event information and how to register your agency’s staff:

The institute is jam-packed with sessions covering topics on safety, programming, and youth development. Schedule includes a keynote speaker, an outdoor games session, and three 40-minute breakout sessions, with four breakout room topics per session. There will also be an opportunity for your staff to take professional headshots during our lunch hour.

1. We will send out the exact session schedule at a later date. Some breakout session topics will include Ages & Stages, Skillful Behavior Management, JEDI, Water Safety, Staff Roundtables, and so much more!
2. This event can be for your summer staff PLUS any childcare staff that works during the school year. You can register your staff via Square using this link: https://cprs-district-3.square.site/
3. The event fee is $7 per person plus a Processing Fee for Online Payments of $0.50 per person, which equals $7.50 per person if paying by card or online. Your ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT OPTION would be $7.00 per person if paying by cash or check instead. If you would like to pay using one of these methods, please contact Habad "Abid" Ahmad via email at Habad.Ahmad@cityofconcord.org or call 925-671-3017 for assistance with payments or to be sent an invoice. ***Please note that it would be best for one lead staff rep from each agency to register your entire staff at once.***
4. Three lunch options will be provided for an additional $8 charge per person. Staff can select either a hot dog, hamburger/cheeseburger, or a veggie burger. Chips, a cookie, and a drink are included with each main entrée option. Please register for lunch via City of Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District’s online catalog here. Please select the main entrée option for each staff member once you know, and you can do a one-time registration by selecting the quantity per option (Hamburger, Hot Dog, Veggie Burger).”
