    Good morning D4!

    Looking for some information regarding Security Requirements for Facility Rentals. What are the determining factors for requiring private security for your budlings.  Also, for those that do require security, what companies do you work with?

    Hi Claudia and D4,

     

    I checked in with our facilities team lead by Rick Cotter. Feel free to reach out to him if you need any more information 408-730-7335 or rcotter@sunnyvale.ca.gov.  

     

    For Sunnyvale, it's only required in our event rooms (Senior Center Orchard Pavilion, Rec Center Ballroom and Rec Center Community Room) when alcohol is served or for events "honoring minors". 

     

    The security policy states:

     

    • For events honoring youth under 21 years of age, (birthday parties, baptisms, Bar and BatMitzvahs, Quinceaneras, etc.) one security is required for all events.
    • Security will be arranged by City staff. Fees will be added to the rental cost.
