    Please see below for information on a webinar that District 3 and the East Bay Regional Park District will be hosting. 



    On Friday June 26 10:00AM-11:30AM the East Bay Regional Park District and District 3 will hosting a new Corona Conversation.

    "Managing Parks and Programs during Social Distancing"

    Hosted by CPRS and EBRPD

    As public health agencies start to relax shelter in place orders and reopen the economy, many of us are confronting the question: "How to operate and maintain parks and run programs that provide our patrons with opportunities for healthy outdoor recreation while adhering to social distancing protocols?" This webinar is intended to provide a platform for park professionals to share their plans for re-operating parks and programs in the our new Covid-19 reality.

     

    Event time: June 26 - Time 10-11:30am

    Opening remarks

    1. CPRS D3 welcome from President Matthew Galindo
    2. Jim O'Connor EBRPD Assistant General Manager, Operations at EBRPD – Topic: Intro to the breakout sessions (10 minutes)

     

    Moderated Breakout rooms will follow with subject matter experts sharing successes and challenges of routine park operations with social distancing. Participation in breakout rooms will be based on interest garnered through registration. Breakout rooms will center around the following topics:

    1. Programs, camps, and interpretation (In-person and virtual)
    2. Reservations/Special Events
    3. Park Operations (Restrooms, Picnics/camping, drinking fountains)
    4. Swimming/Aquatics
