Lifelong resident of Kern County. I attended Bakersfield and Chico State where I was a member of each school's wrestling team. I spent 15 years working at the Kern County Museum - a 16 acre outdoor museum with 57 historic structures (education and volunteer services coordinator and promoted to Executive Director). I have been district manager of McFarland Rec since August 2016. Under my direction, deferred maintenance projects have been completed that were previously put on hold. I spent three years as a commissioner and then president of the Kern County Human Relations Commission and also ran the Kern Literacy Council. I have two adult children: one is a computer engineer and the other a bio med engineer.
