Please mark your calendars for the next OARS (Older Adult Recreation Services) meeting and Aging Training on Tuesday, August 6 at 1 p.m. at the Mountain View Senior Center, 266 Escuela Avenue, Mountain View, CA. The first hour of the meeting will start off with an Aging focused training by Leah Martinez from the City of Hayward on 'Finding Positivity.' Working with aging adults can be challenging; the stigma around aging is real, but also, some of the conflicts and behavior issues we find ourselves navigating are HARD. Participate in this discussion-based session to help find solutions that work for your center, combining compassion with expectations to best serve all your participants in a fair and equitable way. The second hour will lead into a regular OARS meeting with Aging professionals in District 4. Light refreshments will be provided.
'Finding Positivity' training is open for all to attend in District 4. Aging professionals are highly encouraged to attend.
