Subject: Invitation to Participate in Research on Senior Programming in Parks and Recreation
Dear Recreation, Professional,
You are invited to participate in a doctoral research study focused on how recreation professionals design and implement leisure programs for older adults. This study aims to better understand the decision-making process behind senior programming and explore whether perceptions about aging influence how these programs are developed.
To be eligible, you must currently serve as a Recreation Coordinator or in a comparable role, be responsible for operating a senior center or managing senior-focused programs, and work within a parks and recreation setting in the Inland Empire region of Southern California.
Your input will contribute to valuable research that may help shape more inclusive and effective programming for older adults. Participation involves an interview and a short follow-up survey. All responses will be kept confidential, and you'll have the option to receive a summary of the findings once the study is complete.
If you meet the criteria and are interested in participating, contact me at Stephanie.Gallegos@calbaptist.edu. You're also welcome to share this invitation with eligible colleagues who may wish to be involved.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Warm regards,
Stephanie Gallegos
