Mentor Program Kick-Off and Speed Mentoring Recap

On Thursday, October 16th, the Mentorship Program hosted its annual Kick-Off Celebration at the Norwalk Arts & Sports Complex. The day was filled with team-building activities, goal settingk, and the much-anticipated reveal of this year's mentor and mentee pairings.
The theme for this year's event was "Building Bridges," encouraging mentors and mentees to strengthen their partnerships and connect with others across the program. With over 50 mentor-mentee pairs formed this year, we look forward to an exciting season of growth, collaboration, and shared success.

On Monday, October 20th, the Mentorship Program held its Speed Mentoring event at California State University, Long Beach. The event welcomed both program participants and Recreation majors interested in pursuing a career in the field.
The morning featured several fast-paced rounds of speed mentoring, allowing students and mentees to ask mentors questions about their professional journeys in Recreation. The event concluded with a casual Meet-the-Mentors Mixer, where attendees continued networking over refreshments.
