To make volunteer opportunities more readily available to the Community Recreation, Youth Development, and Senior Services students in the Central Valley, I have created a google form that will allow you to submit information disseminated to students in this option area.
As you may be aware, our students must complete a minimum of 200 pre-internship paid or volunteer hours, although we recommend that they achieve upwards of 1,000. I have expressed to them that typical part-time employees get approx. 1,040 hours and the importance of getting to that 1,000 hours mark as their education, experience, and know-how are the keys to landing that first full-time job.
Once you complete the form, students will have immediate access to find your information. Feel free to use this link for all your volunteer opportunities, submitting individual requests for each opportunity (there is an option to submit how many volunteers you are looking for).
While I cannot guarantee that we can get you a student(s), I hope this will allow you to get your information directly on students' screens. I will also highlight/ promote opportunities submitted as well.
