  • 1.  Inquiry About Translation Services

Happy Wednesday! I hope your summer is off to a great start.

I'm reaching out to ask about translation services your municipality uses. We've been tasked with exploring options for both phone and event translation, and would really appreciate it if you could share any vendors or solutions you currently use.

Thank you in advance for your help!

At the moment, our center isn't experiencing a high demand for translation services, though I've occasionally had to rely on my phone's translation app. That said, your recent post really caught my attention, it made me realize that we should probably have something more reliable in place.
In doing some (quick) research following your post, I came across a number of translation agency services in the Bay Area. However, I was also wondering if anyone has considered reaching out to local colleges by posting on campus message boards or contacting administrators, to explore the possibility of coordinating with non-English language departments. There might be opportunities for volunteer or intern translators, which could benefit both the students and our community.
Would love to hear if anyone has tried something similar or has thoughts on this approach.
