    Fresno State's Department of Recreation Administration is interested in collaborating on any appropriate grant applications to engage our faculty and students in the community. Please let me know if there is a way we can work together!

    THIS GRANT'S FOCUS: Rural Communities, Community/Economic Development, Rural Youth, Climate Change

    "These grants will be made to qualified intermediary organizations that will provide financial and technical assistance to recipients to develop their capacity and ability to undertake projects related to housing, community facilities, or community and economic development that will support the community.

    Key Priorities:
    • Reducing climate pollution and increasing resilience to the impacts of climate change through economic support to rural communities.
    • Ensuring all rural residents have equitable access to RD programs and benefits from RD funded projects.
    • Assisting rural communities recover economically through more and better market opportunities and through improved infrastructure."

    Funder: Rural Housing Service
    Eligibility:
     "The intermediary organization must have been legally organized for a minimum of 3 years and have at least 3 years prior experience working with private nonprofit community-based housing and development organizations, low-income rural communities, or tribal organizations in the areas of housing, community facilities, or community and economic development."
    Amount: 
    $50,000 – $500,000
