Welcome, CPRS District 1 to “Connections,” a NEW monthly e-newsletter providing you with information on local events, programs, professional trainings, workshops, socials, and parks & recreation resources!

As your new D1 President, I want to ensure that our membership is getting up-to-date and relevant information on local CPRS happenings. I have challenged our Board of Directors with an ambitious schedule of activities and programs to bring out the best in D1 this year. Why? CPRS D1 is not just a Board of Directors, but it is all of YOU! I know that D1 is full of tremendous potential, just waiting to be tapped! Come outside and join us!

Why “Connections”? The goals of our D1 Board this year are both creative and ambitious, but they can be easily summed up in a single word, “Connection.” Connection this year will come in many forms: Connection to members, non-members, and students. Connection to resources, education, and trainings. Connection through social media and regular communications. Connection by way of networking opportunities, events, and community service. Connection through creativity and fun. In short, there are many exciting things in store for CPRS D1 this year, and I look forward to connecting with all of you.
