Fall Forum
Registration information for the Fall Forum will be out soon through the new CPRS website! Early Bird registration will be pushed back to October 16th. The Fall Forum will be on Thursday, November 5th at the Robert Livermore Community Center in Livermore, CA from 8:30am-5:00pm and a social will follow.
Students that want to attend, but can’t afford the registration price should contact Lauren Merriman right away. We have volunteer opportunities with a discount included! Space is limited. Lauren.Merriman@mountainview.gov or (650) 903-6618.
Price before Oct 16th: $55 per CPRS member/$65 non-member
Price after Oct 16th: $69 per CPRS member/$79 non-member

SF State Mock Interviews – Professionals Needed!
SF State will be conducting mock interviews with our graduating seniors who, this fall, will be looking for a 480-hour, full-time internship beginning in January 2016 and ending in May 2016. If interested in participating as an interviewer whether or not you have an internship position, here are the details:
Event: Recreation, Parks, and Tourism mock interviews
Date: Thursday, October 8, 2015
Time: 12:00 – 4:00pm (11:30-12:00 setup)
Place: SF State – GYM 118 (a map and parking permit will be mailed to you next week)
Who: 62 graduating seniors preparing for spring 2016 internships
Process:
- Groups of 4 students will interview with three agencies (one agency every 50 minutes: 12:00-12:50; 1:00-1:50; 2:00-2:50)
- 5-minute interviews with 2-3 questions, a 2-3 minute critique, and a 2-minute transition between each student in the group of 4
- 10-minute break between each agency and a new group of 4 (12:50-1:00; 1:50-2:00; 2:50-3:00)
- Networking from 3:00-3:45
- Clean-up 3:45-4:00

CPRS Awards and Volunteer Recognition Dinner – Flyer Attached!
We know it is early, but we wanted to give everyone adequate time to start thinking about nominations for this year’s CPRS Awards and Volunteer Recognition Dinner!
This year’s dinner will be on February 25, 2016 at the Quinlan Community Center in Cupertino. The CPRS District 4 Annual Awards and Volunteer Recognition Dinner has always been a special way to show your appreciation for the hard work and dedication your department has done over the past year.
Nominations are due by Friday, January 15th. Please see the attached documents for more information or you can always contact us. We hope you take the opportunity to recognize the outstanding accomplishments and people in your department.
