CPRS Aging Section is offering the 2015-2016 Undergraduate or Graduate Scholarship Award at this year's state conference in Long Beach. This scholarship is for students attending a California college or university with major or masters emphasis in Gerontology, Recreation/Leisure Services, or a related human services field. Legistlative action to protect California's Oak Trees is happening right now and needs your support. Contact California Secretary of Agriculture Karen Ross (secretary.ross@cdfa.ca.gov) and the President of the State Board of Food & Agriculture Craig McNamara (farming@sbcglobal.net ) to ask that the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) regulate the movement of firewood. Also inform your members of the state legislature and Senate and your town’s mayor of your request and ask that they support it. Please see attachment on the D4 webpage for more information.
Register right now for the Fall Forum. Today is the last day of early bird registration. You can still sign up after today, Oct 16th, but the price will be increased. The Fall Forum is on Thursday, November 5th in Livermore. Register online at www.cprsmembers.org. Please see attachment on the D4 webpage for more information.
Last but not least, enjoy the rest of your Friday and have a great weekend!
