Hello CPRS members!
You may have already heard the news: the inaugural JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Academy is on the calendar for May 2 – 3, 2024, and registration recently opened. The academy will take place at the beautiful Lakeside Park in Oakland, CA, so we wanted to make sure you knew about this opportunity in the Northern half of the state.
All levels and sectors of park & recreation professionals and industry members are invited to participate. Education sessions and activities will focus on awareness, belonging, and communication. Academy attendees will leave with a better understanding of JEDI principles with ideas/examples of how to pursue them within their organizations and as individuals.

As this is the inaugural academy, a limited number of seats are available. Registration will close on April 18th, so don’t wait!
You can register online on the CPRS website or you can call the CPRS office at (916) 665-2777 to register and pay over the phone. If your organization requires an invoice for financial processing, please contact Lauren Oakley at Lauren@cprs.org to initiate generating an invoice.
