The
purpose of the VIP Project: Vision… Insight… Planning
(VIP) is to be proactive in determining the future of the park
and recreation profession
in California through development and implementation of a vision
and action plan for the profession that creates future success.
The VIP Action Plan describes the importance of the park and recreation
professional:
- Being at the table when critical issues are framed and decisions
made
- Proactively address future needs
- Meet the needs of a rapidly changing society; and
- Have a common vision leading to a preferred future
The VIP Action Plan contains information on:
- Core values, vision and mission for the new millennium
- Market opportunities for parks and recreation
- Strategies for achieving the vision
- Implementing the Action Plan in your community
