    The Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce that applications for the 2025 D9 Scholarships are now being accepted!

    There are two different scholarships being offered:  Student Scholarship and Professional Scholarship.

    Attached you will find criteria and applications for both opportunities, as well as a flyer.

  • CPRS D9 - Training + Social Registration is Open!

    Thursday, November 7! Please see attached flyer announcing our annual winter training!  This year's training will take place on November 7 in West Hollywood. Following the training, D9 will be hosting a networking social once the sessions are over.
    Don't miss out on this great opportunity for an affordable training for you and your staff! 
    Session topics will include: Director's Panel, breakout sessions, brochure and registration software discussion and more.

    Calling all educators, trainers, and presenters! 
    The CPRS District 9 Board is seeking relevant and enthusiastic individuals to run a training session at the annual Winter Training. 
     
    The training will take place on November 7 at the West Hollywood Aquatic and Recreation Center and draws in numerous parks and recreation professionals in the Los Angeles area and surrounding cities.
     
    Training topics may include, but are not limited to: 
    • Leadership
    • Management
    • Customer Service
    • Aquatics Services/Trainings
    • Senior Services/Trainings
    • Maintenance Topics
    • Product Demonstrations

  • District 9 Presents: "Bike the Beach" Summer Social on 8/24

    Keep the summer rolling and join us for our first event of the 2024-2025 year!  This is a great opportunity to network and socialize with other Recreation Professionals.

    Registration is Required!

    This social will start at Hermosa Beach, then:

    • Stop #1 Bar / Restaurant |Manhattan Beach
    • Stop #2 Bar / Restaurant | Redondo Beach
    • Final Stop #3 Bar / Restaurant | Hermosa Beach
    • *We will have a brief pit-stop between Stop #1 – Stop #2 for attendees that want to disembark early.

    -To attend: $5 Registration fee (participants BYOB-bring your own bike)
    -Add-ons: an additional $12/hr for participants interested in renting a bike (payment due onsite), so please bring a card or cash to purchase.
