The City of La Mesa has opened a recruitment for a part-time, temporary, non-benefited Recreation Leader in our Community Services Department. This position provides on-site supervision for programs and facility rentals; to set up and tear down equipment for recreational activities; to maintain records and reports; to assist at special events or leading other recreational programs. Typical shifts are nights and weekends for facility rentals. The position is open until the needs of the City are met, so interested applicants should apply immediately.

This position requires:
• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. College-level coursework in recreation, physical education or a closely related field is highly desirable.
• At least one year of responsible experience working in a recreation program.
• Possession of a Standard First Aid Certificate.
• Possession of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (Infant, Child & Adult).
• A valid California driver’s license or equivalent is desirable.
