  • District 10 Awards Program

    Stop for a minute and look around…do you work with outstanding FULL & PART TIME people, have great volunteers in your community, have a facility/park/program that you’re proud of and want to show off?  Well, it’s time for YOU to RECOGNIZE those who make District 10 so exceptional! 

    The CPRS District 10 Awards Program recognizes and honors those individuals and organizations who have contributed  to our profession and to the quality of life within the communities we serve. 

    Hall of Fame

    The CPRS District 10 Hall of Fame was established to recognize outstanding involvement of professionals and agencies that promote parks and recreation as an essential service through the Parks Make Life Better branding.

    Nomination Categories Include:

    • Coveted Leadership - highest honor presented by CPRS District 10 to recognize a recreation professional who has provided outstanding leadership and made significant contributions and service to District 10 throughout the years
    • Individual/Agency - recognize a member and/or agency for their support and contribution to District 10 and the Parks and Recreation profession.
    • Career Achievement - recognize a retiree within a member agency or organization who has made a significant contribution to District 10 and CPRS.
    • Parks Make Life Better – Recognition of an outstanding District 10 facility, park, or program that has made a substantial and meaningful impact on the community and the members it serves.
    • NEW THIS YEAR! MOST VALUABLE PART-TIME PLAYER AWARD (MVPP) Recognition of a part-time employee for their outstanding contributions to their agency and community.

    Volunteer Merit Award

    This award is presented to individuals or organizations in recognition of their contributions to the community, profession, or member agencies.  This award is non-competitive; nominees will be recognized during the awards banquet to commemorate their accomplishments.

    Applications are available below and on the website.  Award submissions are due no later than Friday, March 16 and must be submitted by email (no faxes accepted) to Brason Alexander at balexander@newportbeachca.gov.
