MESSAGE FROM THE SECTION
Conference is less than a month away. It’s time to be inspired and recommit yourself to the profession and your community! Conference is a great opportunity to absorb new information, network with your colleagues, and share your knowledge. The CPRS Supervisors Section is committed to providing you with these opportunities year-round, but especially at the CPRS conference. This newsletter is focused on the variety of events and educational sessions sponsored by the section available to you at conference. We hope you’ll attend some of these sessions and give us your feedback, so we can continue to provide you with relevant information and educational opportunities. We encourage you to attend our conference social and General Membership Meeting, where you’ll have an opportunity to meet your representatives on the section board of directors, understand what we’re cooking up for the future, and maybe become involved. See you all in Long Beach!

National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) Certified Youth Sports Administrator
Attention Supervisors of Youth Athletics!
The National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) will offer this Academy for professionals pursuing the Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA) credential. CPRS and NAYS believe that every community should have at least one CYSA overseeing organized youth sports programs.
After a full day of hands on training, participants will complete the certification process via the Online Academy system. This allows participants to experience both the Onsite and Online Academy and to network with other youth sports professionals from around the state.
Completing the Academy gives youth sports administrators a strong foundation of knowledge on issues pertaining to overseeing youth sports programs in today’s ever-changing environment. Some of the topics covered through the Academy are youth sports philosophy, professional development, volunteer management, child abuse prevention, parent management, conflict resolution, insurance and risk management, program evaluation and marketing. More than 2,500 professionals from around the world have earned this important certification.
Session Learning Outcomes:
