Summer Crafts
Get Creative! Learn simple crafts for all ages for your upcoming summer programs. In this session you will also learn how to change and adapt the crafts to fit your program theme. This session will use inexpensive materials for the crafts.
Participant Behavior Management & Discipline
Join us and learn new ways to manage participant’s negative behavior. Additionally, we will review discipline and positive reinforcement techniques, and when to use the two. This session is designed to help recreation staff assigned to programs with youth.
Group Games and Activities- Inclusion It’s the Law
An interactive session with hands on demonstrations and participation in games and activities for everyone attending. A 15 minute question and answer session will be included. Handouts will be provided.
Field Trip & Water Safety
Do I feel safe leaving my kid? That is a common question that all parents ask themselves when making the decision to register their child for a camp/program. Join us as we discuss simple ways to manage a group of kids off site on a field-trip, at local pools, water parks, and beaches. We will also review ways to communicate safety protocols to parents. This session is perfect for all recreation leaders assigned to working at a summer camp or similar program.
