DYNAMIC PAIR SELECTED TO ATTEND PROFESSIONAL MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SCHOOL
Lukas Almquist (City of Ontario) and Adam Tronerud (City of El Cajon) were selected by the Development and Operations Section Board of Directors to receive the 2019/20 Development and Operations Section Maintenance Management School (MMS) Scholarship. The pair were recognized in front of over 150 park professionals at the November 2019 week-long program at the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Conference Center in Lake Arrowhead during a presentation by board Vice President Bryan Peck. The Development and Operations Section selects two or three professionals each year from the member applications received to award the annual MMS Scholarships. The application process involves a short form, a few paragraphs regarding why the applicant wants to attend MMS and why a scholarship is necessary and then a written letter of recommendation from the employees supervisor. The process starts in August of each year and recipients are notified in October.
