Hello Aquatics Section Members,
The CPRS Admin Section is inviting us to some of their events at Conference! Read below for further information:
Good afternoon,
I am reaching out to you to invite you to be a part of the ADMIN section, or at least to join us for some of the exciting events that we are sponsoring at Conference (Long Beach, March 8 to 11). Whether you are an administrator or looking to advance your career, our section is working to ensure we have a pulse on where the Park and Recreation industry is heading. Our theme this year is about working towards sustainable communities, Parks and Organizations. We want to help facilitate the engagement of health and wellness in our park systems; create a framework for the reinvestment in our park assets, including adapting to changing access to natural resources; and develop plans to create succession planning, and position the industry for the future.
Below is a list of exciting events if you are attending conference. We have posted a conference flyer with recommended education sessions that every administrator should consider attending. Check out details on the CPRS calendar Link to ADMIN Section Conference Flyer.
Administrator’s Social at Conference
Join us for free drinks and appetizers at Wokano in Long Beach (199 the Promenade North) – Tuesday, March 8 from 7:30 to 10:30 pm
Administrator’s Networking Breakfast at Conference
This is the premiere event to network with other Directors and Senior Managers from throughout the State. The breakfast is open to anyone, and our keynote will be an interactive session to gauge the direction of the industry. Steven Lang and Cindy Mendoza from MIG will present “The VIP Complex: Creating Community in the 21st Century.” We have also asked Administrators to bring a supervisor because we want to ensure that everyone is engaged in this networking opportunity. Enjoy a delicious all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast, offered at a reduced rate thanks to more than 20 sponsors, including our Title Sponsor: RecWest Outdoor Products.
The breakfast is at the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach (Beacon Ballroom) – Thursday, March 10 from 7:15 am to 9:00 am
Registration is $30, and closes on March 4. Purchase Breakfast Ticket
*E-mail your registration form to Esther Lucas at elucas@sanramon.ca.gov
Administrator’s Speed Coaching at Conference
Young professionals will have an opportunity to engage in one-on-one career development discussions with Directors and Senior Managers. This is a unique opportunity to get diverse perspectives on the qualifications, training, experience and strategies for successful performance in today’s public parks and recreation field.
Wednesday, March 9 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm (Check conference guide for location)
