Hello District 7 Members,

Summer in the valley is almost over and last month your District 7 board members reconvened after being dark for the month of July.  Your board members hit the ground running appointing committee chairs for the annual Park Rodeo/Vendor’s Fair, Holiday Social and next year's Summer Leaders Workshop.  If you are interested in serving on any of these committees contact Eric Aller at erica@cityofclovis.com (Park Rodeo) or Sara Hamilton at sara.hamilton@fresno.gov (Holiday Social/Summer Leaders Workshop) for details.  In October the Fresno State Recreation Administration department will once again host the Fall District 7 Agency Fair, this is a great opportunity to showcase your agency to potential interns and students who are looking for part-time employment and volunteer hours.  The call for nominations for the 2019 Board will go out very soon and our goal is to have two candidates for each position on the ballot, so start thinking if you or someone you know is ready to run for position.

At this month’s meeting in Dinuba, board members will review the data from the CPRS Member Survey and determine how to best move forward in the months ahead.  If you have any questions about what the board is working on or are interested in getting involved please call or email me.  I look forward to seeing everyone at the Park Rodeo and Vendor’s Fair on Friday, November 2 at Plaza Park in Visalia!
