New Year, New YOU! Get ready to kick off the new year with a series of training sessions this January! These sessions are designed to support professional development, refresh key skills, and ensure everyone is prepared for the year ahead.

2025/2026 D10 Award Nominations Open

A variety of NEW awards are also eligible for submission this year, in which we highlight the:
CPRS Connected Community Award (NEW)
The Connected Community Award recognizes an agency that has developed an outstanding and effective marketing initiative or campaign that successfully connects residents to recreation and community services. This award celebrates the creative use of digital, print, or multimedia marketing to increase awareness, drive engagement, and strengthen the relationship between a community and its parks and recreation programs.
Entries should demonstrate:

Creativity & Innovation: Original, engaging, and visually appealing marketing concepts

Strategy & Purpose: A clear message, target audience, and intentional plan aligned with agency goals

Community Engagement: Meaningful connection and interaction with the community

District 10 Mentorship Program Lunch & Learn #2 Recap

Another month, another Lunch and Learn!
On January 13, 18 participants were able to gain insight on how to develop a program from the initial brainstorm to turning it successful! Hosted by Joanna Contreras, City of Newport Beach Recreation Supervisor, and Jake Hopkins, City of Fountain Valley Community Services Supervisor, each attendee was able to learn the initial steps of developing a program, identifying all the aspects that help make it successful, and ways to evaluate and learn when to divert, divest and/or dig in!

D10 provides Dues Relief to remove a financial barrier that would prevent members from attending events, trainings, and or renewing their membership.
All D10 members are encouraged to apply. Non-CPRS members are encouraged to apply to receive membership.
