Hello,
I wanted to check if any agencies have recently replaced fitness center equipment or completed a fitness center remodel.
The City of Newark is preparing to replace all fitness center equipment at one of our centers, as much of it is reaching the end of its useful life. We are exploring the possibility of piggybacking on an existing California public agency contract for fitness equipment and related services.
If your agency has recently completed a purchase, we would appreciate learning more about:
Wondering what piggybacking is?
When a government agency piggybacks on a purchase, it uses an existing, competitively awarded contract from another public agency or purchasing cooperative to procure goods or services under the same terms and conditions. This allows the second agency to avoid conducting its own full competitive bidding process, saving time and administrative resources, while remaining compliant with public contracting requirements.
If you are willing to share information or documentation related to a recent fitness equipment purchase, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
