    Welcome to November- the month of thanks.  Even with holidays and gatherings, we have a handful of events that we want to make you aware of- it's a full email today.
    November 16- Youth & Teen Recreation Services (YTRS) Meeting, 10am-12noon

    November 18- Cultural Arts Roundtable

    December 2- Temporary Staff Hiring Roundtable, 11am-12noon

    REC U: Organizational Structures, Culture, and Policies, December 8
    Save the Date- Holiday Luncheon & Quarter Raffle
    District 3's famous Holiday luncheon & quarter raffle will be held at outdoors at Forest Homes Farms in San Ramon from 11:30am-2pm on Tuesday, December 14 . This is a chance to gather as a district and recognize our temporary and front line staff who we are all so grateful for.  More information on how to register will be coming out soon, take a look at the flyer attached for some sneak peak information.
    Save the Date- Awards & Installation Luncheon
    First time since March 2020, we are looking forward to the Awards & Installation Lunch at H.A.R.D.'s newest facility, Cherryland Community Center.  Save the date for Wednesday, February 16 from 11:30am-2pm.  Information about this years awards will be out next week.
    Student & Professional Grants

    The purpose of the CPRS District 3 Professional Grant is to provide park and recreation professionals the opportunity to participate in professional training where limited resources prevent participation or to undertake needed professional research on behalf of District 3.

    Scholarships are available to undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing a career in the parks, recreation, community services or related fields. Candidates must be residents of District 3 (Alameda & Contra Costa Counties), attending a college in District 3, or work for an organization in District 3.

    Summer Staff Training, Saturday, May 21
    CPRS District 3 YTRS and Cal State East Bay are partnering up to offer a Summer Staff Training on Saturday, May 21, 2022. The goal is to provide your summer camp, aquatics, and other front-line staff with the training they need to be successful this year!  Please make sure someone from your organization has filled out this survey so we can have your input on the location, timing, and potential session ideas.
