CPRS Book Club: How To Be An Antiracist - Ibram X. Kendi
Wednesday, July 15, 1:00 PM - 2:15 PM
"In How to Be an Antiracist, Kendi takes readers through a widening circle of antiracist ideas—from the most basic concepts to visionary possibilities—that will help readers see all forms of racism clearly, understand their poisonous consequences, and work to oppose them in our systems and in ourselves." - Amazon.com description
The world is at a turning point. Come join us as we listen, learn, and work together to understand our beliefs about and relationships with race, and how they impact the work we do in parks and recreation. This session will be moderated by Dr. Brandon Taylor and Dr. Heather Vilhauer of CSU East Bay.
CPRS Book Club is a live video call using the Zoom platform. Please be sure to purchase the book in your preferred format, and give yourself plenty of time to read and come ready to discuss. Register early, space is limited!
