Interested in learning more about incorporating justice, equity, diversity, or inclusion into your work and/or workplace? Join members of the CPRS JEDI Counsel for an engaging discussion with fellow park & recreation professionals across the state. We hope you will come to the roundtable ready to share your perspectives and experiences and hear about problems, practices, and solutions from various communities. During the November 13th roundtable we will be joined by the CPRS Aging Services & Activities Section to discuss aging bias and ageism.
If there is a topic you would like to suggest for a future roundtable, please reach out to JEDI Counsel Co-Chair Lauren Oakley at Lauren@cprs.org.
These virtual roundtable events offer a 'brave space' for open dialogue and learning about what can be challenging topics. The roundtables will not be recorded so participants may feel more welcome to have authentic and productive discussions - along these lines tools like AI notetakers are not permitted. The information exchanged and ideas offered are not legal advice nor the opinion of CPRS, rather, the ideas and opinions of the individuals sharing them. The deadline to register is Tuesday, November 12th at 11:59 pm (Pacific). The zoom meeting access information will be emailed to all registrants the following morning in advance of the roundtable. This roundtable is free for all to attend -- CPRS membership is not required. We welcome you to invite other members of your organization and team to join us for some thoughtful discussion around JEDI.
