California Senior Rally Day will be Tuesday May 8, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Senior Rally Day attracts hundreds of seniors and advocates from across the state. Presented by the Seniors Count Coalition, this year’s march will occur on May 8, 2018 at the State Capitol. The Seniors Count Coalition is a group of nonprofit service and advocacy organizations, including AARP, California Commission on Aging, Choice in Aging, and California Senior Legislature, that organizes and promotes an annual Senior Rally at the California State Capitol to raise awareness among legislators and the Governor and provide a coordinated advocacy platform for senior issues.
Senior Rally Day is a chance for the seniors’ voice to be heard as they advocate for themselves and their fellow Older Adults that cannot. If you are in the area or know of anyone in the area, please join the effort to advocate for and with the population that we serve every day. If you go, be sure to share your photos so that we might highlight them on our CPRS Aging Section page. Please forward all photos to Leah Madonich at lmadonich@danville.ca.gov.
