  • Administrator’s Section is in need of COACHES for Speed Coaching Sesssion!

Administrator’s Section is in need of COACHES (Managers, Superintendents and Directors) to assist in the CPRS Conference SPEED COACHING session to mentor and network with young Parks and Recreation professionals.  This session has been highly successful primarily because of your participation and willingness to commit your time and expertise.

     When is SPEED COACHING?

    • CPRS Conference in Sacramento
    • 8:45 – 10:00 AM
    • Wednesday, March 20, 2019

    What is SPEED COACHING?

    • Speed Coaching is a chance for participants (students, entry level professionals and early to mid-career professionals), to connect with COACHES (Managers, Superintendents and Directors).  A coach and 6-8 participants are at a round table to discuss the participant’s career direction and receive advice from you. Participants will gain a wide variety of ideas, suggestions, tips and contacts to help them on their professional journey.

    How does SPEED COACHING work?

    • Coaches will provide a brief overview of their career path.
    • Coaches will ask participants to briefly describe their education, work/volunteer experience and questions to help them on their professional journey.
    • Coaches are encouraged to engage participants in conversations for participants to network and mentor each other.
    • Coaches will move to the next participants table after 10-15 minutes of sharing their expertise.
    • At the end of the coaching rounds there will be a short wrap up and feedback session.
