  • SECOND Call for Park Development and Operations Section Board Nominations

    Park Development and Operations Section Board service is a chance to grow personally
    and professionally, to develop skills, gain unique experience and make lasting connections
    with a team of other passionate and motivated and competent professionals. We are
    seeking candidates for the open positions of President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary and
    Regional Representatives for Regions 2, and 4.


    CPRS has a dedicated Board and Staff who support and make the Park Development and
    Operations Section Board's job as fulfilling as possible. Headquarters Staff manage the dayto-
    day operations of the Society enabling the Park Development and Operations Board to
    focus on matters of strategic importance within our areas of expertise and help us improve
    the programs and services that we offer to our Section members.


    Section Board service also provides these unique opportunities:
    • Develop valuable skills in non-profit governance, program planning and strategic
    planning
    • Expand your network of professional contacts
    • Gain recognition from your employer, community, and/or peers


    We are looking for candidates with a high professional standard of excellence
    demonstrating the following:
    • Be eager to do something really meaningful and important to advance the
    profession
    • Be motivated to contribute to the development of park professionals
    • Be willing to accept a leadership role for the future of our state, professional
    organization
    • Hold active membership in California Park and Recreation Society
    • Be a member of the Development and Operations Section at the time of the Election
    • Have time to dedicate to fulfilling their responsibilities.
