~ CPRS is asking for photos of staff conducting maintenance on a municipal playing field – artificial and natural turf as well as clay areas. Any sports playing field is acceptable! Please print the attachment and distribute to your co-workers.
Why are we Calling for Photos?
Photos are needed for a field maintenance manual authored by PlaySafe, LLC. CPRS will publish this manual Fall 2017 and photos are needed to help describe the actions being taught in the manual. If we choose the photo, we will credit your agency for the photo.
Deadline: August 21, 2017
Where do I send the photos?
Email your photos as attachments to training@cprs.org. Questions can be directed to Leslie Fritz, Director of Education for CPRS, 916.665-2777. Please tell us what you are doing in the photo within the email and who you want us to contact regarding the photo if needed.
How do I format the Photo?
5x7 size please, 300 DPI (we don’t know the size of our photos until we finish up the manual. Larger formatting is better)
What is the subject matter?
Photos should showcase California public park and recreation department playing fields depicting subjects such as:
- Staff conducting a maintenance procedure for natural and synthetic turf field
- Staff administering weed control for playing fields
- Staff working on Turfgrass disease management for a playing field
- Staff working to control insect problems on a playing field
- Staff renovating/repairing an existing playing field
- Staff conducting an infield maintenance procedure
- Staff striping, lining, and painting a playing field
- Or anything else you can think of—just tell us in the email what you are doing in the photo
How many photos can I send?
As many as you want. Please meet the deadline of August 21 to be a part of our design work.
Thank you for caring! Also call me--I have lots of resources!
