Park Development and Operations Section Members
RE: Extended Call for Development and Operations Section Board Nominations
The Development and Operations Section is currently seeking candidates for the following board positions:
President-Elect
Vice-President of Development
Treasurer
Region 1 Representative
Region 3 Representative
Region 5 Representative
All terms are two-year terms. The position of President-Elect ascends to the position of President in the second year.
Candidates must be a CPRS member, receive agency support to participate and must attend the once monthly conference call meetings in addition to the annual re-treat in April.
We are looking for candidates with a high professional standard of excellence demonstrating the following:
- Be eager to do something meaningful and important to advance the profession
- Be motivated to contribute to the development of park professionals
- Be willing to accept a leadership role for the future of our state, professional organization.
- Hold active membership in California Park and Recreation Society abd the Development and Operations Section.
- Have eight hours time monthly to dedicate to fulfilling board responsibilities.
Candidate Statements are now due by 5:00p November 4, 2016.
