Dear Aquatics Professional,
Can you spare 5-minutes to give me your opinion on an aquatics certifications for new aquatics professionals? As the past CPRS Aquatics Section President and an Aquatics Supervisor at Livermore Area Recreation and Park District I know that the aquatics industry has always been strong on training and support for new and continuing professionals. Over the past several years there has been an increase in the number of professionals coming into the industry with little to no experience managing aquatics programs. To assist those who are new or inexperienced I am researching the value of offering an aquatics certification, in partnership with California State University East Bay. This certification would provide aquatic core competency training to those new or inexperienced in the field.
The results of this confidential survey will help gauge interest in and develop the curriculum for this certification. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!
