Conference Call Tips & Tricks

• Call in close to the scheduled time. You won’t be able to access the conference call more than 15 minutes before the scheduled start.
• When you enter the conference call and hear the beep, you will be able to hear others and they will be able to hear you! That’s a good time to introduce yourself (if you like!)
• Mute your phone while listening in and unmute it to talk. Phones can pick up lots of background noise (typing, talking, breathing) while you are listening in.
• If you need to step away from the conference call, do not put it on hold! The rest of the members on the call will be able to hear your “hold” music until you return.
• Interruptions happen. It’s hard to know when to talk and when to stop! Don’t feel bad if you begin talking at the same time as someone else.
• Introduce yourself whenever you contribute – that way others will get to know your voice as well as your name!
• To access menu options while in the call, press *4.
• You can reconnect! If you need to, you can hang up and call back if your call quality isn’t great, you need to step away, etc. As long as there are still people in the conference call, you will be able to re-enter with your passcode.
