  • TAKE 5 CHALLENGE

    Dear Recreation Section Members,

The message below is being shared by the Take 5 committee!

At last week's CPRS conference, newly elected President Henry Perezalonzo encouraged CPRS professionals to take part in the TAKE 5 CHALLENGE.  Put down your social media, your internet shopping, and take those 5 minutes to connect with a professional.

Anyone who attended the conference who was interested in participating put their business card in a box, and will be matched up with someone throughout California.  By the end of conference, over 300 people have already accepted the challenge!

If you didn't get a chance to drop off your business card OR you weren't at conference, and want to be part of the TAKE 5 challenge, there's still time!  We know the initial conversation can be scary and weird, so we are going to do the hard part for you..we will connect you and start the conversation!

Want in????  It's simple....just email D4 President Nicole Acquisti at nacquisti@burlingame.org and you'll get connected to another professional who took the challenge as well!  In your email, include the area of interest you'd like to connect with.  Examples include, but are not limited to: programming, administration, aquatics, aging adults, marketing, being a mentor, having a mentor, management....the list goes on and on, and can include anything parks and recreation or municipal government related.

The intended outcome is that as Iron Sharpens Iron, we too can professionally sharpen each other.  We can, and should, establish and broaden our circle of professional support.

If you are interested in accepting the TAKE 5 CHALLENGE, please email Nicole by Wednesday March 21st.
