Dear CPRS Members,
District 12 is proud to announce “Flat CPRS”! Flat CPRS is a campaign inspired by a children’s book called “Flat Stanley” by Jeff Brown. The story is about a little boy, Flat Stanley, that dreams of someday traveling the world. One day he is squashed by a bulletin board yet survives and becomes flat. He figures out that he could visit different places and travel the world, by being mailed in an envelope. In this story you learn about the places he travels to in the world.
Flat CPRS takes inspiration from Flat Stanley and sets out to do just that in 2019 with seven characters that represent our seven sections; Administration, Aging, Aquatics, Development and Operations, Education, Recreation and Recreation Therapy. Our mission for these seven characters is to use this as a tool to educate our members about the sections, increase social media presence, increase followers, and tell our story about the park and recreation experience. I have attached the seven characters and instructions for you to print and have fun with!
I know there is a lot of us that are competitive, so let’s have some good ol’ fashion recreation fun! We are going to have a competition for both sections and districts that post the most post using the #CPRSD12 hashtag and tells their story the best.
