Vote On The Code -- Vote By December 20th Using Our CMAHC Ballot Recommendations
Voting in now open on the latest version of the Model Aquatic Health Code (CMAHC). We encourage all members to vote on the CMAHC changes using our ballot recommendations by 12/20. Several operators, lifeguard certification agencies, manufacturers, and designers have reviewed these recommendations in order to provide the best recommendations for the aquatics industry as a whole.
Please note--the voting process will take about 30 minutes and we strongly encourage you to set aside the time to complete this process in one sitting. The online ballot may seem confusing, but we believe the following steps can assist you in traversing this process more easily. The ultimate goal is to make sure the second version of the MAHC is in line with our industry best practices.
Here are the steps you will need to take to Vote on the Code. Remember, you must be a CMAHC member in order to vote. If you are not yet a member, skip to the bottom of this email to find a link to join. Then follow these steps:
- Print our Ballot Recommendations document (attached)
- Go to CMAHC's website
- Click on the Member Sign In link in the upper right hand corner of the homepage
- Sign in using your member ID and password
- Locate the dropdown menu called Member's Area in the upper right hand corner of the homepage
- Select Member Vote from the Member's Area dropdown menu
- Begin voting by selecting either Yes, No or Abstain from the fourth column [see ballot recommendations document for suggested vote]
- Continue this process until you reach the end of the ballot
- Once you have voted on each of the 159 CR's, click on Submit My Final Vote in light green at the top of the ballot page
- Complete this process by December 20th
Here are a couple of items of note to consider when voting:
- You may want to change the Per Page dropdown menu to 100 per page so that more CR's are listed on page 1. This will eliminate the need to click "next" so often.
- The site does feature an I'll Be Back Later option, which saves your ballot votes and allows you to return at a later time to click on the Submit My Final Vote button. We recommend you complete the ballot in one sitting, if possible. Only those that have been formally submitted, will be counted.
