D&O Section Members,
We have an opportunity for you to help advance your profession, demonstrate your leadership and recieve recognition and appreciation from your peers? The Board is on the move as never before and this is your opportunity to be part of something really impactful for the profession.
The Development & Operations Section is your special interest section dedicated to park operations, planning, design and development. As we enter the 2016-2017 fiscal year we are looking for members to step forward to serve as leaders in the D&O Section. The Board is comprised of 11 members and we are in search of one new member to serve as the Region 5 Representative to fill a recent vacancy. Region 5 consists of CPRS Districts 9, 10 & 12 and geographically consists of San Diego, Orange and Imperial Counties and the coastal cities of Los Angeles County. (Map attached)
Interested members must be a current member of CPRS and be a primary member of the Development & Operations Section. Receiving this email does not necessarily qualify you. Please refer to your CPRS membership card, the website, or you may call the CPRS office at (916) 665-2777 to confirm your D&O Section Membership.

Region 5 Representative (Districts 9, 10 & 12)
- Attend the monthly Section conference call.
- Maintain contact with Section representatives on District boards.
- Assist with collaboration and coordination between Districts in Region.
- Provide information to District Boards on State and Section initiatives and programs.
- Collect District information to post on Section website.
- Solicit feedback from District Boards on proposed Section initiatives, programs and membership needs.
- Be engaged in assisting with the development and delivery of Section educational programs.
- Chair one Section committee.
