The City of Santa Monica as a significant professional employment opportunity available as Parks Maintenance Supervisor which is part of the department’s Public Landscape Division, a team of 101 employees whose mission is to maintain, manage and enhance the City’s parks, landscapes, urban forest, downtown and Santa Monica State Beach.
This position plans, schedules, coordinates and supervises the work of groundskeepers, equipment operators, and contracted work. The position requires the inspection of landscape sites that are maintained by an outside contractor to ensure quality control and adherence to City standards.
This position implements comprehensive inspection reports for park assets and amenities and provides continued support to the Sustainable City Programs within the division including an Integrated Pest Management program. The Parks Maintenance Supervisor makes recommendations for improvements and program implementation to the Public Landscape Manager and researches emerging trends and best management practices in the park maintenance field. The annual salary range for this position $74,412 - $91,872 plus benefits
