    Hello everyone,

Wanted to determine if any organizations that offer aquatics programming have the following:

    • Therapeutic recreation targeting participants suffering from muscular skeletal injuries that would benefit from low impact aqua physical therapy and/or special needs participants needing range of motion aqua physical therapy.
      1. If yes, is this a contract class or do you work with a non-profit organization to provide the activity? How is it structured contractually?

    Thank you in advance!

I work in a substance abuse unit and teach pool exercise in a pool that I have on site.

I have taken pool exercise classes myself for years and have taught these classes at my current job for nearly fourteen years.

I have a lot of adults and seniors with arthritis and other injuries.  Some balance problems - r/t alcoholism and getting old.

If you have a pool, you can go out and recruit an aerobics instructor to teach in the pool.  There are certified aqua aerobics instructors.  ACE or IDEA are both fitness certification bodies that would direct you.  Setting up a a normal contract class would be the simplest thing to do.   A staff member can learn the routine and be certified as well.  I enjoy it and my adults that are young and old enjoy the work and extra resistance.

Stay in touch and I can help as much as possible.

    Thanks.
