Good Afternoon D1!The District 1 board invites you to show and tell what's happening in your agency! Tell us about an event that you are most proud of, a staff member who is an all-star member of your team, highlight a successful or not so successful program, or spotlight volunteers who make the difference in your community! Whatever it may be, sharing is always fun!
The National Academy of Athletics recently highlighted one of their awesome Area Captains, Ben Freeland!
From National Academy of Athletics Founder & CEO, Aaron Locks: "Ben has done an amazing job of navigating all the challenges associated with operating youth sports programs in Marin County & Petaluma in partnership with Cities & Schools. Ben always goes above & beyond to help make sure that the kids have a positive experience, our community partners goals & expectations are met or exceeded, the parents feel safe leaving their kids in our care while our staff has everything they need & feels supported. No matter if the challenge is Covid, Fires, Rain or staffing shortages, Ben keeps a positive attitude, remains professional & has become a true leader. He is very well organized, which allows him to approach each task with the assurance and authority of someone who has done their homework. From Physical Education Classes to after school sports, to summer camps or recess & lunchtime sports, Ben is either recruiting, training, managing, coaching, or teaching. His efforts have helped thousands of North Bay kids have a more positive sports & fitness experience while creating healthier lifestyles. Nice work Ben! Proud to have you on Team NAofA #PlayHardHaveFun"
